Case Study of Singapore New Star Company Purchasing Interior Decoration Powder Coatings

Singapore New Star Company is a well-known local import and wholesale enterprise of painting raw materials. It was established in 1998. In more than 20 years, they have gradually established a large sales network of coating raw materials in Southeast Asia. They are widely involved in the coating market in urban infrastructure construction, interior design and decoration and other fields. In large-scale construction projects in many countries and regions in Southeast Asia, New Star has fully participated in the business of painting raw materials.

Process of cooperation

In August 2022, New Star Company contracted the interior painting project of a children’s hospital in Singapore. The project requires indoor classes to have zero emissions of volatile gases to ensure the overall health and environmental protection of the children’s hospital. This requires that the indoor painting raw materials used by New Star Company cannot be paint-based liquid coatings. New Star Company searched for multiple powder coating manufacturers in China to find the most cost-effective powder coating solution.

By coincidence, we have had in-depth cooperation with a museum in Guangdong in 2021. We provide a complete set of indoor painting design solutions, in which we use powder coating as the only indoor painting raw material throughout the entire process, completely abandoning paint for indoor painting. The cooperation on this project gives us enough experience to meet the indoor painting needs of Singapore New Star.

We compiled the successful cases of the Guangzhou Museum into detailed information and brought the powder coating samples used in the original project to New Star Company in Singapore for an on-site visit by the technical team. Kun jeff, the purchasing director of New Star Company, received us. He expressed his gratitude for our special visit and carefully inquired about the details of the previous museum powder coating project. In particular, powder coatings were deeply discussed in the specific construction scenarios of children’s hospitals and how to control the construction costs of the overall project.

Of the multiple powder coating suppliers involved in the project, our prices were not the lowest. Considering that the children’s hospital needs more bright colors, our technical team also participated in the entire interior design of the children’s hospital and conducted a new development of the existing powder coating colors to ensure that the indoor painting of the children’s hospital has no volatile gases.
